Defamation & Dispute Policy

This policy applies to Rateio (“the Company”), a UK-based online platform operating a workplace review directory that allows individuals to leave anonymous reviews of their employers.

This policy is written in accordance with UK law and best practice.

Neutral Platform Position

Rateio acts as an intermediary and platform provider. Reviews reflect the opinions of users and not Rateio.

Defamation Complaints

If an employer believes a review is defamatory, they may submit a complaint including:

  • Identification of the content
  • Explanation of why it is considered defamatory
  • Any supporting evidence

Complaints should be submitted to:

compliance@rateio.co.uk

Assessment Process

Rateio will assess complaints in line with:

  • The Defamation Act 2013
  • Applicable UK case law

Rateio may:

  • Take no action
  • Temporarily restrict visibility
  • Remove or amend content
  • Request additional information

No Guaranteed Outcome

Submission of a complaint does not guarantee content removal.
