Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the subscription and use of the services provided by Rateio (“we”, “us”, “our”) by subscribing companies and organisations (“Subscriber”, “you”, “your”). By subscribing to or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
1. Definitions
- “Platform” means the online directory, website, and related services operated by us.
- “Listing” means a company profile or entry displayed on the Platform.
- “Subscription” means the paid plan(s) selected by the Subscriber.
- “Minimum Term” means the initial 12-month period commencing on the Subscription Start Date.
- “Subscription Start Date” means the date on which payment is first taken.
2. Subscription and Minimum Term
2.1 All Subscriptions are subject to a minimum term of twelve (12) months.
2.2 After the Minimum Term, the Subscription shall automatically renew on a rolling minimum twelve (12) months basis, unless terminated in accordance with these Terms.
2.2.1 Should the Subscriber wish to cancel the Subscription, the Subscriber must provide written notice within 14 days before the end on the Minimum Term or the end of the minimum term of the rolling term as set out in clause 2.2 or within 7 days after the commencement of the renewal terms (after the Minimum Term).
2.3 By entering into a Subscription, you commit to paying all fees due for the full Minimum Term.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Subscription fees are displayed on the Platform or otherwise agreed in writing.
3.2 All fees are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), which shall be charged where applicable.
3.3 Payments are due in advance and are collected via our approved payment provider.
3.4 Failure to make payment may result in Listing limitations, suspension or removal of your branding and profile and/or Listing without notice. All reviews will remain live of the Platform.
3.5 No refunds are provided for unused portions of the Subscription, except where required by law.
4. Listings and Content
4.1 You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided in your Listing is accurate, complete, and up to date. Should this not be the case you should email register@rateio.co.uk and inform us of any changes required.
4.2 You warrant that all content submitted:
4.2.1 Is truthful and not misleading
4.2.2 Does not infringe any third-party rights
4.2.3 Complies with all applicable laws and regulations
4.3 We reserve the right to edit, suspend, or remove any Listing that:
4.3.1 Breaches these Terms
4.3.2 Is misleading or inaccurate
4.3.3 Brings the Platform into disrepute
4.4 We do not guarantee any minimum number of views, enquiries, leads, or business outcomes.
5. Reviews and User-Generated Content
5.1 The Platform may allow users to post reviews or ratings.
5.2 We do not control or endorse reviews submitted by users.
5.3 We reserve the right (but are not obliged) to moderate, remove, or respond to reviews that breach our policies or applicable law.
5.4 You agree not to manipulate, fabricate, or incentivise reviews in a misleading manner.
6. Acceptable Use
6.1 You must not:
6.1.1 Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
6.1.2 Submit false or misleading information
6.1.3 Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform
6.1.4 Interfere with the operation or security of the Platform
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 All intellectual property rights in the Platform remain our property or that of our licensors.
7.2 You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and promote your Listing content for the purpose of operating and marketing the Platform.
